Gaya Goes Analogue

Gaya Goes Analogue is a soulful mix of Reggae, Funk and World Beat.  Members include Bill Concello (drums), Shawn Graham (bass) and the High Priest (guitar and vocals). It was conceived in the United States before emerging out of Yamanashi in the Spring of 2022.  With a sound reminiscent of the 1970’s to the 1990’s, Gaya lays its roots in the power of both the streets and the hills.  Through driving grooves, hypnotic droning, and irie beats, Gaya Goes Analogue seeks to mesmerize its audiences with a message of which the goddess herself would be proud. 

ガヤ・ゴーズ・アナログはレゲェ、トリップホップ、フォークをソウルフルに混ぜた音楽を披露します。アメリカで始まったが2022年の春に山梨で芽生えたプロジェクトです。1970年代から1990年代のサウンドでグルーヴやドローンや不気味なビートで観客にガヤという女神のメッセージを届けていきます。

The Goddess Gaya watches Earth as our choices continue to cause its deterioration.

We betrayed her with our gasoline powered cars, our aerosol spray cans, our endless plastic and harmful chemicals released into the air, water, and earth.

We betrayed her with our need for convenience, luxury, comfort, and things which cause pollution, climate change, and even extinction of other species. Things that bring neither peace nor happiness.

People, you have brought this upon yourselves. Here is where it starts, and ends.

The Cult of Gaya awaits the presence of the Goddess who will return to us from her resting place under Mt. Fuji. We are your only hope for survival when she returns. Follow us.

Gaya’s revenge is upon us, but first, let’s see how we got here.

ガイヤ信仰

ガイヤの⼥神は、我々の選択が地球の悪化を引き起こし続ける様を⾒守るのだ。

我々は、ガソリン⾞やエアゾールスプレー⽸、永遠に使い続けられるプラスチックや有害な化学物 質を⼤気、⽔、そして⼤地へと放出する事で神を裏切ったのである。

我々は利便性、贅沢や快適さを求め、そして汚染や気候変動にとどまらず、他の⽣命体の⽣存権さ えも脅かす事で神を裏切ったのである。

真の平和も幸福も結果的にはもたらされていないのであ る。

⼈々よ、あなた⽅がこの事態を引き起こしたのである。

まさしく此処が⽣命の始まりであり、また⼈類が逝去する処である。

ガイヤの教団は、富⼠⼭地下深くの休息の地から再び我らの元へ戻ってくるであろう⼥神の君臨を 待ち望んでいるのである。

彼⼥が戻ってきた時、我々だけがあなた⽅にとって⽣き残るための唯⼀の希望なのである。

我々の 教えに従うのだ。
